Papayo! So many questions
ReplyDeleteSo if Rolf loves Princess in that kinda way, why he proposed to Candy? Is Candy his contingency?
So they both on the outside watching in unaware that they both have these feelings mirror each other?
Where Candy in all this?
Is she totally oblivious to what her fiance's feelings might be for his best friend?
Is she jealous of the relationship?
Hmmm. Is he using Candy to stir a reaction from Princess....it did work for his friend....? Is Candy in on the conspiracy to force Princess to acknowledge her feelings? Or does Candy also have a bestie so doesn't have a problem with Rolf having a bestie?
DeleteThe air.was almost stifling. Sue shuffled from one leg to the next trying to keep.her composure. PRINCESS had been late and not wanting to face Rofl on her own...she lingered outside the church.
ReplyDeleteThe bride's car had not yet arrived but the church was well packed as she made a quick survey earlier.
Her palms felt sweaty and she began to feel terrified that she would lose her BF whom she secretly longed to.be hers.
Princess had arrived and the two gingerly made their way a safe distance from.the front. Roft looked .....directly at her...
Her heart pulsated as he locked his eyes with her. Though at a safe distance. Sue felt overwhelmed and open to be in the presence of a man who she knew meant more to her than just a BF.
Whispers began to flood the church as the time for the wedding passed and the evening sun dipped dangerously low. Guests grew restless as the bride was unusually later than expected...As the time drew on...sadly Candy was a no show...
Interesting climax. No show by Candy...paves way for Princess...should Princess now settle for being a substitute bride?
ReplyDeleteRealization dawned that he really loved princess more... he knew that princess seemingly felt like his soulmate... but to query her affections would be just a game. Candy was the woman who loved him without question. This thought process was unwitting of someone's future husband. Rolf gulped and found peace in the security of his love than the pounding heart of a long lived attraction always on the verge of possibility. One that never could blossom. He looked into the eyes of candy and was sure of his decision. He knew he would love her and grow more in love with him. As he said I do he looked back at sue and princess. Words forever severing attraction and permanently define their friendship.
ReplyDeletePrincess put Rolf in the friendzone because love stretched out over such a long period of time never pans out. The fear of failure is not worth being consumed by. Especially when they did friendship with such finesse
DeleteOh mercy! He loved Princess but wanted a woman who loved him more than he loved her...a possibility that could never blossom...words severed attraction...interesting.
ReplyDeleteOkayyyy...
ReplyDeleteSo Sue's wedding needs to continue. Rofl as best man. Princess as Maid of Honor. There needs to be some major eyes connecting action between Rofl and Princess whilst the vows and pronouncement of husband and wife takes place. Almost like they're speaking to each other during the vows and alone in the room. Then they need to follow the procession out together, locking arms and describing the feelings of being near to each other. Then, as the procession reaches outside, there needs to be some finger action between Princess and Rofl, leaving a tingling in them before they turn to each other; she watching him questioningly, and he watching her challengingly. Then there needs to be coded messages in the Toast to the Groomsmen by the Maid of Honor and the Toast to the Bridesmaids by the Best Man. Something about fighting for what you want (with a glance at Rofl) and love developing after years of friendship (with a glance at Princess). The wedding should leave both of them in turmoil.
Madam Candy, who is present and not dumb, detects what is going on and confronts Rofl after the wedding; issuing to him an ultimatum that he needs to decide what he feels because she would not be the fallback option, particularly where she has options herself.
Rofl would then confront Princess, who tries to prevaricate, but he would persist and corner her until she acknowledges her feelings. Somewhere in my subconscious, I'm thinking this should involve a stolen, but demanding kiss that she submits and responds to and then tries to explain away. But maybe that's just the Hallmark talking. LOL 😂
Once feelings are professed, Rofl needs to apologize to Candy for trifling with her, whereupon she admits that she also has someone she's been eyeing, but is not taking her on. But that after the wedding, she not only stood up to Rofl, but she challenged him as well and it seems like it will grow into something. All's well that ends well for everybody! :)
Delightful! You are a hopeless romantic. lol. So the wedding must be Sue's wedding you say...? Interesting twist.... interesting...
ReplyDeleteDear Reader, you still have not provided a reason reason why Princess locked Rolf in the friend zone...this is critical to the resolution of the plot!
